'Follow the Money' to the Hole in the Wall

MONEY matters were top of the agenda when noted economist David McWilliams visited Kilkenny.

 

Mr McWilliams was in Kilkenny for a signing evening following the launch of his book ‘Follow the Money’.

 

Venue was the recently refurbished Hole in the Wall at High Street, Kilkenny, a building that lived through Kilkenny’s at times topsy turvy history.

The famous landmark is now owned by Dr Michael Conway, consultant cardiologist at St Luke’s General Hospital, Kilkenny.

It was standing room only as Mr McWilliams spoke about the recession and of his concerns with the way it is being handled by the Government.

He worried about the consequences for the working person particularly in relation to soaring unemployment figures and suggested that the recession could be prolonged needlessly.
