Get ahead with a hat!

GRAB your hat and......well you may not exactly leave all your worries on the doorstep. But you could go out and have fun with the world!

This evening (Monday) at 5pm, a Silent Hat Auction is being launched to raise funds for the '5 to 6 Women's Art Programme' in Kilkenny.

The auction is being held at the County Council Arts Office Gallery at 76 John Street, and it will continue until Friday (November 27).

Bidding for a hat will start at €10 and consecutive bids will go up by €2. Bidding closes at 2pm on Friday and the highest bidders will be notified that afternoon.

The Gallery is open daily from 10am to 5pm except for Friday when the doors close at 2pm.

So don't be disappointed. Get ahead with a hat. Get along, place your bid, don your fedora or whatever, and be fanciful or frivolous as the mood takes you.
