MOUSTACHES were in vogue at a ’Seventies disco party in Cleere’s of Parliament Street, Kilkenny, on Saturday.

Occasion was a night of celebration for Movember, a fundraiser for The Irish Cancer Society and men’s cancer research in particular.

Among those to go hairy for November were Alan and David Rhatigan,Brian Mullins, Rory O'Connor, Kevin Monaghan, Ger Butler, Mark Donegan and Jim Rhatigan of Kilkenny Alive.

Sponsorship collected by moustache growers will be boosted by the proceeds of a raffle that will see the lucky winner and a friend go to a Premiership match.

Movember continues at the Hibernian Hotel, Kilkenny tonight when there will be more moustaches on show.

The party night begins at 8.30.
