New episode of Vultures goes online
THE fifth episode of locally produced detective sitcom Vultures has just gone online.
The newest installment of the ongoing serial, The Adventure Of The Hidden Microfilm, sees the gentlemen detectives of VPI contacted by a mysterious fugitive on the run from the authorities. The fugitive is in possession of a secret microfilm belonging to rival Pinkerton agency.
Except he doesn’t know exactly where he put it. Although he suspects it might be inside him. And it could be a floppy disk or a USB key either. He’s really not sure. How can the detectives retrieve the microfilm? Is it even a microfilm? And can they evade the Pinkertons and their leader, the elusive Natalie Blaise?
The regular cast return for this episode including Sean Hackett, John Morton and David Thompson as the titular detectives with Paul Young (Inspector Leeson), Ross Costigan (Jack Street), Suzanne O’Brien (Janine Drew), Gus McDonagh (Noah Hennessy), Liadain Kaminska (Isabelle Vultour) and Annette O’Shea (Jane Tennyson) all offering support. And as usual, there are a few new faces making their debut appearances.
After just over a year in production, Vultures wrapped in March and the last two episodes will go online in August. They will be a two-part storyline that will tie up the entire series. Vultures is available exclusively to watch on the shows website, www.VulturesPI.com.
It can also be subscribed to on iTunes. The viewership for the show has been growing steadily throughout the year and the makers hope that the last two episodes will bring it to a larger audience.
Vultures is produced by local production company Mycrofilms and has been funded and supported by Kilkenny County Council Arts Office since the project commenced in December 2007. For all information on the show, please visit www.VulturesPI.com
