IT WAS the mother and father of all GAA parties. Over 750 people turned up to a dinner evening in Cillin Hill to pay tribute to the magnificent hurlers who had brought honour and glory to Kilkenny in 2009.

Feted were the four-in-a-row All-Ireland kings, the Intermediate, U21 and Minor teams that had all catapulted Kilkenny to hurling genius.

Master of ceremonies was Michael Lester of RTE.

There to record the occasion for Kilkenny Alive was our ace photographer Donal Foley from Hugginstown.
